KPLR Moves Primetime Newcast

KPLR, the St. Louis CW affiliate, has announced that it will move its half-hour long 9 p.m. newscast to 7 p.m. and expand to one hour. I find this an interesting choice. What do you think? Click here for the full MediaWeek article.

Maybe it'll acquire some more viewers that way because KTVI has 'em beat with a stick for the 9 p.m. news time.

I hope they get an updated news set. When you watch their graphics and hear their news music, it's almost like something they'd use on SNL for a fake newscast. Their news opener and their talent opener looks SO cheesy.
