According to the Neosho Daily News, the number of dead from yesterday's tornadoes in Newton County has increased to 13. Also, according to an emergency management official I was able to contact this evening, that number could possibly increase because there are a few people that remain in very serious condition in the hospital. We hope that isn't the case.
We are still awaiting word on the identities of the victims.
KSN and KODE's website has no new details today, even though they have been on the air for short intervals throughout the day.
KOAM has updated information from throughout the day.
The Springfield TV station websites, however, have much more information. KSPR and KY3 both have Sunday evening updates... including NWS confirmation that tornado that hit near Racine was an EF-4.
