Some exciting news is coming today from a tipster: "Pending a license from the FCC, the playing field in the Springfield news market could level a little."
KOLR/KSFX now have a satellite truck, equipped to handle the upcoming digital switchover. All they are waiting on is for the FCC to approve and the station will be in business.
One employee tells The News2K: "We're all hoping to be the first to go live in some far flung area we've never been able to go live before."
KY3 has had SatCom for years. It will be interesting to see what KY3 does now that their competition has the same technology as they do.
