Former KMBC anchor Jeremy Hubbard is now the new anchor of ABC's overnight news program, World News Now. He began his position on Monday. He has been at a couple of stations since his time at the Kansas City ABC affiliate.

And Everywhere Obama Went (The Ratings Were Sure To Go)

Barack Obama has been a ratings hit the last few days. His speech on race relations drew over 4 million viewers on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN Headline News. Nightline's interview with Obama beat Leno and Letterman. Last Friday evening, every hour he was interviewed, the show's ratings jumped significantly from their normal numbers.

Not suprisingly, right now, Anderson Cooper is interviewing Obama. Tomorrow night, he is on Larry King (according to Tv Newser). Oh, and get this... he's even coming soon to The View on ABC.

As you might have guessed, The News2K is back up again and fully operational. Thank you for bearing with me during the move. I hope to have some additional information up and loaded later this evening or tomorrow, weather/time permitting.

The Rains Came Down And The Floods Came Up

It is raining, raining, raining... as it has been for some time. This has resulted in massive flooding in spots, including the closing and dismissal of several SW Missouri schools.

Check out Springfield station KYTV's YOU NEWS section for a look at viewer submitted pictures of the disaster. It is simply something else...

Meanwhile, the rain continues. KSPR's Weather Blog is also keeping viewers informed on the latest information as the storm progresses.

It must be March in Missouri

The next few days are going to be insanely crazy in the weather department. Hold onto your hats and wigs (if applicable) this afternoon, get ready for severe storms and flooding rains tonight, and then maybe a 6"+ snow! Wow. Only in the Show-Me State.

I reccomend keeping up with the developments at:
